When Jesus took five loaves and two fish, the disciples saw only what was missing.
Jesus saw what His Father could provide.
The miracle of the loaves reminds us that God's love is never measured in scarcity, but in abundance. No one was overlooked. No one was turned away. Every person was welcomed, fed and satisfied.
This miracle prepares us for an even greater gift.
In every celebration of the Eucharist, Christ continues to give Himself completely. He feeds us with His own Body and Blood, inviting us to trust that He alone can satisfy the deepest hunger of the human heart.
As we prepare for the International Eucharistic Congress, may we come with open hearts, ready to receive Christ's abundant love and to share that same generosity with others.
"Christ is God's answer to our human hunger, because His Body is the bread of eternal life."
Pope Leo XIV
Corpus Christi Homily – 22 June 2025
Pilgrim's Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You never turn anyone away. Nourish me with Your love in the Eucharist, teach me to trust in Your abundant goodness, and help me become a sign of Your generosity to everyone I meet. Amen.
