This Is My Body, Given for You

eucharisticcongress2028 medallion03The Greatest Gift

On the night before He gave His life on the Cross, Jesus gathered with His disciples for the Last Supper. Taking bread, He blessed it, broke it and gave it to them, saying:

"This is my body, given for you."

In these simple yet profound words, Christ gave His Church the gift of the Holy Eucharist. At every Mass, His saving sacrifice is made present, and He continues to offer Himself to us under the appearance of bread and wine.

The Eucharist is not simply something we receive—it is Someone we encounter.

As we prepare for the International Eucharistic Congress, may we rediscover the wonder of Christ's self-giving love and approach His table with faith, reverence and grateful hearts.

"The Eucharist is, in fact, the true, real and substantial presence of the Saviour."

Pope Leo XIV
Corpus Christi Homily – 22 June 2025

Pilgrim's Prayer

Lord Jesus, You gave everything for me. May I receive You with faith, adore You with love, and become a living witness to Your presence in the world. Amen.
