Vestments for our Parish Churches

Vestements

At the celebration of the Eucharist, the Church requires the priest to wear vestments. The vestments, in their various liturgical colours, help those present at Mass to enter the grace of the celebration and to remind the priest of his role of serving the People of God. The chasuble (outer robe), for instance, calls the priest to imitate Christ in his generous service of others.

The vestments in our Lumen Christi parish churches have been used for many years and are very worn. Some money has been given by a generous parishioner to start the process of collecting money for new vestments, but a new set with all the liturgical colours requires much more. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

To be part of this very important renewal, please complete this pledge form.
